Vasco da Gama CoLab
Vasco da Gama CoLab is the first Portuguese association with the objective of uniting the main Portuguese energy storage players from the academic world (IST, University of Porto), companies (EDP and Efacec) and start-ups (Visblue and C2C- NewCap). Vasco da Gama CoLab's objective is to cross agendas between the partners involved and create new synergies to face the critical challenges of society with regard to the energy sector, namely the capture of energy from renewable sources, smart grids, wind energy, photovoltaics and transport. Vasco da Gama CoLab will operate on three main pillars in the energy storage sector: a) vanadium redox flow batteries; b) supercapacitors c) power electronics.
The purpose of this rebranding was the need to modernize the existing image and standardize the entire aesthetic language of the laboratory. Using the astrolabe as a central element, a modern and progressive logo was created, but it gives CoLab a sense of confidence and efficiency, greatly aided by the chosen colours.
